Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Otero Luppi is a Specialist in General and Digestive Surgery, trained at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona (2008-2013). He currently works as a General and Digestive Surgeon at Quenet-Torrent Institute and Hospital El Pilar.
He obtained his Medical Degree from the National University of Rosario, Argentina (2004), and subsequently completed a Master's in Endoscopic Surgical Techniques at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 2016, he received his Doctorate in Surgery and Morphological Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona for his studies on the minimally invasive approach to the spleen, obtaining a grade of Outstanding Cum Laude.
In 2018, he obtained the title of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery - Minimal Invasive Surgery (F.E.B.S. M.I.S.) from the European Union of Medical Specialists in London. He has published articles in high-impact scientific journals and is co-author of several book chapters, including a chapter in Schwartz's Principles of Surgery.
