Why is choosing a film camera so hard?
Because the second-hand market is full of options and every camera has its own character. A Pentax K1000 and a Canon AE-1 look the same from outside (two SLRs from the 1970s and 1980s) but their philosophy is completely different. The same goes for rangefinders: a 40-euro Soviet FED and an 800-euro Nikon SP work on the same focusing principle, but the experience is radically different.
