From the GOMZ Sport to the digital era.
The history of the reflex camera begins in the USSR in 1937 with the GOMZ Sport and ends, in film terms, in the 1990s with cameras like the Nikon F5. The collection covers almost all of that history, from Ihagee Dresden's experimental prototypes to the Japanese classics that made manual photography accessible to everyone.
Soviet SLRs (Zenith, Kristall) are the hidden side of that story: built in the millions with an M42 mount, today they are an affordable bridge to the German lenses that share it.
